Therapy for ages 12+ and Assessment for ages 7+

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (9am-5pm)

Hi, my name’s Denver! I’m a registered psychologist and clinical psychologist registrar with experience supporting clients across the lifespan and working with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental presentations. I’m committed to a humanistic, client-centred approach that values each person as an individual — with their unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

My focus is on creating a warm therapeutic space grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect. I aim to help clients feel safe exploring their thoughts and experiences without judgment, and to work together to build meaningful goals, enhance self-understanding, and support lasting personal growth. I believe in building on each person’s strengths and tailoring therapy to support resilience, balance, and wellbeing.

While I work with a wide range of presentations, I have a passion for supporting neurodivergent clients (including ADHD and Autism), as well as individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship challenges, and more. Please refer to my areas of interest.

My approach is always tailored to your unique needs and preferences — whether you're looking to deepen self-awareness, improve daily functioning, or navigate life transitions. I’m here to walk alongside you at your own pace — and sometimes, that includes sharing a laugh along the way.

My Areas of Interest Include:

  • Therapy for ages 12+

  • ADHD/Autism assessment for ages 7+ (Currently not providing cognitive assessment).

  • Anxiety disorders (including social anxiety, generalised anxiety, panic attacks)

  • Depression and low mood

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity (ADHD)

  • Autism Spectrum presentations (ASD)

  • Emotional regulation difficulties

  • Stress and adjustment challenges

  • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

  • Trauma and post-traumatic stress symptoms

  • Low self-esteem and confidence issues

  • Life transitions and identity exploration

  • Sleep difficulties related to mental health

Services Provided

  • Individual therapy offers a supportive, confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. Whether you're facing anxiety, low mood, life transitions, relationship difficulties, neurodivergent challenges, or something else, therapy can help you make sense of what you're going through and move toward meaningful change.

Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, values, and strengths. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, and neurodiversity-affirming frameworks.

You can choose to attend sessions in person or via secure video call, depending on what feels most comfortable and accessible for you.

Each session runs for 50 minutes.

  • I offer psychological assessments for both children and adults (ages 7 and up) who are seeking greater insight into how they think, feel, and experience the world. I currently provide assessments and psychological reports for:

    Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

    Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

The assessment process includes clinical interviews, standardised questionnaires, and behavioural observations. Each assessment is tailored to the individual and conducted in a neurodiversity-affirming and respectful way, with the goal of supporting self-understanding, access to appropriate supports, and more confident day-to-day functioning.

All assessments include a detailed written report and a feedback session to explain the results, answer questions, and provide personalised recommendations.

Please note: I am not currently offering formal cognitive or IQ testing as part of assessments.

  • Medicare

I offer sessions eligible for Medicare rebates under the Better Access initiative. This allows you to access subsidised psychological care for a range of mental health concerns through a referral from your GP or psychiatrist. I aim to provide evidence-based therapy to support your emotional wellbeing and achieve your goals.

    NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)

I provide psychological services tailored to support participants of the NDIS. Whether you require assessment, therapy, or skill development, I work collaboratively to meet your individual goals and maximise your wellbeing under your NDIS plan.

Common Questions

  • To begin, please complete the Contact Form on the New Client page. This helps me determine whether we're a good fit based on my areas of experience and specialisation. If it looks like we're a match, I’ll email you a set of intake forms outlining confidentiality, clinic policies, and payment details, and we’ll schedule your first session.

If I believe your needs may be better suited to another clinician, and I am aware of someone who may be a better match, I will do my best to provide a referral.

  • Session fees are set according to experience and training and are marked well below the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) recommended hourly rate of $315.

Session fees are $215 per 50-minute appointment, and there are several ways to pay:

    • Medicare – Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP):
You may be eligible for up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year under a Mental Health Care Plan, with a current rebate of $93.35 per session (leaving an out-of-pocket cost of $121.65).

      To get a MHCP:

      • Book an appointment with your GP, letting them know it’s specifically for a Mental Health Care Plan, so they can allow extra time.

      • The GP will assess your eligibility and provide the necessary referral paperwork, which you can then send to us.

    • Private Health Insurance:
If you have extras cover that includes psychology, you may be eligible for a rebate. The rebate amount depends on your insurer and level of cover, so we recommend checking directly with them.

    • Private (No Rebate):
If you prefer not to go through Medicare or insurance, you’re welcome to pay privately. The full fee of $215 applies.

  • Yes, I work with NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed) clients

    • For NDIS clients, please ensure your plan includes funding for therapeutic supports. We will discuss invoicing arrangements based on whether you're self-managed or plan-managed.

  • Your first session is about getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and discussing what you’d like to get out of therapy. I’ll ask questions about your history, current challenges, and goals, and we’ll work together to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Each session is 50 minutes long.

In follow-up sessions, we’ll begin to work through the issues identified and review your progress regularly. Therapy can be short- or long-term depending on your goals.

  • You can book sessions in one of two ways:

    • First session can be booked through the New Client Bookingform

    • Online via our secure booking system

    • In person at the end of your session

We send curtesy reminders via email and SMS:

    • 3 days before your appointment
This gives you time to reschedule or cancel if needed.

  • We understand that life happens, but we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations are best made made via email or SMS as our phones are not always attended.

    • Cancellations within 48 hours: $107.50 cancellation fee (not eligible for a Medicare rebate)

    • Cancellations within 24 hours or no-show: Full session fee of $215 (not eligible for Medicare rebate)

These fees apply because short-notice cancellations are difficult to fill and prevent others from accessing much-needed support. Exceptions can be made in cases of genuine emergencies (e.g. hospitalisation or serious illness).

All clients are required to keep a valid card on file, which will be used for processing session and cancellation fees as needed.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a key part of the therapeutic relationship. Everything you share in session is kept confidential except in a few rare circumstances, such as:

    • If there is a risk of harm to yourself or others

    • If there is a legal requirement (e.g. subpoena or mandatory reporting)

    • If you give written consent for information to be shared

We’ll go through this in more detail in your intake forms and can discuss it further in your first session.

  • If you would like to be seen sooner, please call or email us, and we can add your name to the cancellation list. If an earlier session becomes available, we’ll contact you.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, vulnerable, or in crisis, please seek immediate support:

    • Call Lifeline on 13 11 14

    • Call Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636

    • If your safety is at risk, go to your nearest emergency department or call 000
